Several safety concerns have been eliminated.

They include:
●    No overhead hoists or cranes are needed to move rolls. Additionally, maintenance and inspection of hoists and
      cranes is eliminated.
●    The need for the operator to place any type of roll core "chuck" or shaft into the roll is eliminated.
●    Roll chucks are inserted into the core with the operator positioned back at the control station.
●    The operator does not have to twist, shove or hold the roll in any way.
●    Soft tissue injuries are virtually eliminated, a major concern of other systems.
●    Shutdown, lockout and tag out procedures are vastly improved for safety and ergonomics.

We designed the SIDEWINDER equipment with a focus on superior approaches to OSHA guarding practices. The result is a fantastic guarding package with pinch points that are well guarded, strongly built and cleanly designed.

Custom design features of the SIDEWINDER system mean that each system is optimized for each customer's roll handling needs, from parent roll widths and diameters to various roll weights. The system also optimizes floor space needed, a plus for busy factories.
